Seussical Jr.

so miss L has started her run of her second Musical Me Theater show: "Seussical Jr." It opened today and she has five more shows...and she started this first show with a migraine and a request to "just go home and go to sleep..." thank you JESUS for motrin--this kid can actually swallow a pill! after some water, the motrin, some strawberries and some rest, she rallied and was ready to sing, dance, and act her little heart out as a "who-dunnit" in who-ville :)
i almost wish she could have left her hair like this, but it was in preparation for her pink wig...

 with fellow who's and things...

these thing costumes were a labor of love...i made them both and it was so gratifying to make something lasting--because the laundry, dishes, cooking, and cleaning i do daily (although necessary) are NOT lasting...i'm a project kind of gal. i need results...

warm up on stage...these kids were amazing!

 intermission...

here she is with the playbill--gosh, i'm just so proud of this kid!!!

here she is with her friend luke, who played jojo

even mr. dan came out to see she and luke perform
and here is lily with miss ashley--aka drama mama--the brains behind the whole operation! she is awesome with these kids and produces quality!!! they did this show is only FOUR weeks! and there's a LOT in it...
time to rest before tonight's performance--lily will now be a rabbit and a fish for the next show...cheers!

life lately...

i work for an awesome lady at an amazing ministry... and one of my gigs was to help pull off a seminar teaching on God's treasure in His WORD...we had almost 100 women there and the speakers were fabulous, the worship was beautiful, and the whole morning was a sweet time with other women...

so before denny and cindy headed out to peru, we celebrated cindy's birthday with her... all the tiny people sang and loved on her for the evening and we feasted on oreo trifle :)

satchel's is open again!!!!! we made our first official visit since the fire and everything was spectacular!!

so i have had several creative pursuits lately--part of my philosophy to do something each week that the kids can't undo...this was my goldfish that i couldn't rest until i painted :) i'm happy with the result
and lily's play "seussical jr." is this weekend and i volunteered to sew costumes. things one and two were assigned to me and i made two red jumpsuits and then stitched their name plates to the front... in this photo thing two wasn't fully complete, but thing one was

here's lily and her friend mary in front of horton's egg on their set for seussical jr.

made a quick trip to v-town to drop off the twinnies at mimi and poppy's... we celebrated the fourth at the river club and swam and hit the water slide--a fun time was had by all :)

even daddy got in on the action

new digs and atlanta trip

so here we are...i ran out of storage on my other blog so i have migrated here to continue the blogging adventures of LIJT...and each time i think that i am just going to quit blogging altogether and just use facebook, i find myself hearing a narrative playing in my head and i just can't give it up. so who am i blogging for, really? is this for me? yes. and no. it's also for my kiddos, since i haven't successfully completed a scrapbook for them since they were babies. but this is also for you, dear reader--friend...family member...stranger...wait, why am i writing for strangers? yet i know how this goes--i read the blogs of strangers and then they aren't strangers any more. the connections i find from my life tho their lives i assume you are finding here on my blog--connecting your life to mine. so i'll keep this going a while longer...
we got my pointe shoes out the other night--the ones that i wore in college...before i had been pregnant with four children...before my feet grew a size. i could not get them on my feet but the girls enjoyed trying them out

then, last weekend we visited atlanta--to watch some braves games, visit the american girl store, stone mountain, and the georgia aquarium. a fun weekend, although i still had bronchitis and ty spiked a ridiculous fever on the friday night--surely the 107.7 i saw on the forehead scanner was a fluke, as that seems incompatible with life, but whatever it really was, it was HIGH! he rallied for the weekend but was still pretty puny...
the first MLB game for everyone...
miss lily LOVES her aunt hootie!

the dolls asleep in their "beds," resting up for their trip to the mother land in the morning

lily and emily, waiting for breakfast to arrive...
bella and her bitty baby, hannah

the girls enjoyed "feeding" their dolls as they sat in special chairs at the table

note the bubbles in the milk...manners have limits when a straw is involved :)

the whole crew at stone mountain...notice who is not cooperating
seriously if this little girl gets any cuter, i might pop

at the top of the mountain
 look! i was there! proof

now that's a handsome couple...looks like they've been married about ten years ;)

 lily and auntie dianne...
 sisters
 our second game...

 those are piranhas...
 my favorite...the sea dragon
 in the penguin crawl

we ate lunch in the ballroom, which has a huge window to watch the belugas...ty looks thrilled

look at the size of the fish...

so this will be the new blog home...it might take me a little while to get it all cozy and home-like so stay tuned...cheers!
